The Fairfield University women's lacrosse team's contest at Niagara University set for Saturday has been cancelled.
Per NCAA rules the game will be listed as a `no-contest' with no winner or loser indicated. A decision regarding determination of whether or not a forfeit, for purpose of league standings and tiebreakers in the league, will be made in the near future.
Niagara announced on Friday that its women's lacrosse team would cancel one game, as well as have other sanctions imposed, for a violation of team rules.
The Stags will travel to Western New York for a Sunday contest with Canisius, at 11 a.m.
