The Fairfield University women's lacrosse team swept the weekly awards presented by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) on Monday, after posting a wins over Long Island University and Wagner College. Amy Neville (Duxbury, Mass.) was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Lauren Chatnik (Schenectady, N.Y.) the Defensive Player of the Week, and Nina Tedeschi (Duxbury, Mass.) the Rookie of the Week.

Neville, a Duxbury High School graduate, had a week to remember, tallying 13 total points in the Stags first two wins of the season. She tallied eight points in the win over LIU and five points against Wagner. Against LIU, Neville had the second best single-game goal total, touching net seven times, to go along with one assist. She had four goals and an assist in the win over Wagner at home. She is the team leader in points, 16, and goal, 14, over the team's first five games.

Chatnik, a graduate of Guilderland High School, played the entire 120 minutes of action in goal, picking up the two wins. She posted 17 saves on the week, and a goals against average of 8.50. She posted 10 saves in the win over Wagner, a save percentage of 58.8 percent. For the season she has made 47 saves, in her 281 minutes of play, with an 11.54 GAA.

Tedeschi, also a graduate of Duxbury High School, started both games last week for the Stags, notching two goals and an assist. She had three ground balls and three draw controls in the wins as well. She had two points against Wagner, with a goal and an assist, while adding one goal in the win over LIU. She leads all Stags rookie with four goals and three assists.

The trio has led the Stags to a 2-3 start on the year. Fairfield looks for its third straight win when it hosts American on Thursday, at 1 p.m. The Stags will also host Mount St. Mary's, Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m.
