Fairfield, Conn. - Fairfield University women's lacrosse player Beth Loffredo (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (ILWCA) All-Northeast Region Second Team.
Loffredo finished her stellar collegiate career as the Stags all-time leader in numerous career categories. She tallied 180 career points, first all-time, on the strength of a school record 140 goals. She also ranks first all-time at the school with a career average of 2.5 goals per game.
She was the first-ever player in program history to earn Rookie of the Year accolades from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), after netting 47 goals. She tallied 48 points as a sophomore on her way to earning MAAC Offensive Player of the Year honors. She saw just five games worth of action as a junior due to injury, tallying 17 goals in that time. She led the Stags this season with a personal best 58 points, second on the all-time single-season list at Fairfield, earning First Team All-MAAC honors.
During her senior year she led the team with 41 goals and also dished out a team-best 17 assists. She was tops on the team with 46 ground balls, while also ranking second with 28 draw controls. Her 22 caused turnovers was also good for tops on the team.
Loffredo led the Stags to a 7-10 overall mark and a berth in the MAAC Tournament semifinals. Fairfield was 4-2 in league play.
