The Fairfield University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to host Loyola College this afternoon in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contest in Baltimore, Md. The Stags fall to 7-5-4 overall and 3-1-2 in the MAAC, while the Greyhounds improve to 8-5-2 and 6-0-0 in league play.
The Greyhounds took the lead on a Kaitlin Klar goal at 10:33, and cemented the win with a penalty kick by Courtney Arikian at 35:39.
The Stags had several chances, but were called offsides several times in the first half.
Brett Maron made six saves, while allowing two goals in the game.
The Stags were out shot 15-7 in the game and had four corner kicks, all in the first half.
Brittany Henderson made two saves for Loyola.
The Stags will play at Rider on Sunday at 1 p.m.
