Fairfield University women's soccer player Brett Maron (Billerica, Mass.) was named the ECAC Co-Defensive Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Maron notched a pair of shutouts on the week, blanking Holy Cross, 4-0 and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Manhattan 5-0. She made seven saves on the week, four against Manhattan.

Maron ranks second in the MAAC with a goals-against-average, an impressive 0.95. She also ranks second in the league with a .811 save percentage, and is third in the league with 60 saves.

The shutouts were her fourth and fifth of the season, bringing her career total to 15. That total ranks her third all-time in Fairfield history.

The Stags are currently 7-4-4 overall and 3-0-2 in the MAAC. They will play on Friday, when they travel to Loyola, for a 3 p.m. contest.
