The odds are in Griswold's favor when it comes to earning playing time this year. A utility player, the rookie has the capability to play third base, second base, the outfield, and in a pinch, catch. Her versatility will make her a valuable player on this year's roster. Her strength lies in her solid fundamental play, which gives her an added edge. If you mix her speed, power, and base in the fundamentals, one can quickly see a great deal of potential for the California native. She should challenge for a starting role at any number of positions this year. Griswold headed East after graduating from Patrick Henry High School. She also gained experience with the San Diego Legacy ASA summer program. She lists nursing as her major.
