Softball

Gilbert may work her way into the starting rotation early this spring, offering a full arsenal of pitches that should keep batters off balance. Her most valuable asset is her demeanor on the mound, a calm, cool approach that keeps her in most games. With her knowledge and experience in the circle, Gilbert should have success against the opponents on this year's schedule.  She enters the program after a successful career at Dighton-Rehoboth High School, where she helped the softball team garner the state championship in 2006. She plans to study nursing while attending Fairfield.
