Softball

Although an infielder by trade, Stand will look to crack the lineup as an outfielder at Fairfield. Her ability to charge the softball and strong arm will make her transition a natural. She has shown a good sense already to the position, especially when it comes to using her instinct to track down fly balls. Her speed will also help her, especially when running down balls hit to the gaps. With what she has shown so far, the coaching staff expects Stand to be in the running for playing time this year. She came to Fairfield via Milford High School, where she was a member of the varsity softball team. During the summer, Stand played softball with the Polar Crush summer team. She has not declared a major.
