BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Breanne Morschuaser recorded two RBI singles, while Julia Jacoby had a run-scoring double in both ends of the doubleheader as the Fairfield University softball team swept a doubleheader from Lehigh University with 4-1 and 5-4 victories.

In the opener, Kristie Trifiolis opened the top of the second with a double. She took third base off a passed ball, and came home on a base  hit by Breanne Morschauser. The Stags doubled their lead in the sixth inning when Jenna DiBernardo hit her second  home run of the season, a solo shot with two outs.

            The score went to 4-0 with a pair of runs in the seventh inning. Erin Frank led off the inning with a double, and came home on a single by Morschauser. She eventually came home when Julia Jacoby hit a double down the line to close out the Fairfield scoring. Pitcher Kelli Panter missed out on a shutout when Lehigh tallied a single run in its half of the seventh frame.

            The Stags used a three-run rally in the top of the seventh of the second game to complete the sweep. Lehigh jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, courtesy of a ground out and a pair of run-scoring singles. Fairfield chipped away until it took the lead for good in the last inning. The team took advantage of three Lehigh errors, with Jacoby lacing the only hit - an RBI double down the line.
