FAIRFIELD, Conn. - For the second consecutive week, Fairfield University sophomore Paulina Rys (Forest Hills, N.Y.) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week.

Rys went 2-0 against Villanova on March 4^th as Fairfield concluded its stay in Florida. She picked up the 6-0, 6-0 victory over Emily Urda at No. 2 singles to win her third-straight singles match. She then posted an 8-6 doubles victory with partner Dana Postupack at No. 1 doubles.

Rys is 6-10 in singles play this season and is 9-9 in doubles play.

Fairfield (1-5) returns to action on March 18 as it opens MAAC play hosting Saint Peter's at 2 p.m. at the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts.
