JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Fairfield University women's tennis team ended its season with a 4-0 loss to Marist College in the semifinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships at the Yanitelli Center.
Coming off a 6-1 upset of No. 4 Loyola on Friday, the No. 5 Stags dropped the doubles point, with the Red Foxes taking the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches.
On the singles side, Inge L-Grange defeated freshman Lauren Bonanno 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, senior Megan Stauffer dropped her first-ever MAAC Championship match with a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Yana Tikhonko. Stauffer ends her career with a 6-1 mark in the MAAC Championships.
Marist clinched, when Erin Godly clinched the match with a win over junior Alexis Accomando 6-2, 6-1.
