NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Three Stags posted doubles en route to a 3-0 (30-14, 30-20, 30-26) victory at Iona this evening. Fairfield extends its winning streak to 12 matches, including six straight shutouts, as it improves to 15-6 overall and 12-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

The 12-match winning streak is the fourth-longest in program history, tying a mark set by the 1999 squad. It is the also the 12th shutout victory of the season for Fairfield, tying last season's total.

Junior Kelly Oliver led the way for the Stags with a match-high 13 kills and 20 digs. It is the second time this season that Oliver has hit the 20-dig mark. Junior Lindsey Lee posted her 13th double-double of the year with 10 kills and 17 digs. Freshman Barbie Thistle recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 37 assists and 11 digs.

Junior Jazmin Pa'akaula, the reigning MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, was extremely close to her first career triple-double recording 11 digs, nine kills and nine assists.

Sophomore Brandi Higa and freshman Katie Mann were also in double-digits. Higa tallied 15 digs while Mann registered 10 kills. Mann also had four total blocks and a career-high four aces.

As a team, Fairfield out-blocked Iona 6-2.5 while holding a 76-58 advantage in digs. The Stags also had 55 kills while the Gaels recorded 28.

Fairfield is back in action this weekend when the Stags travel to Marist on Oct. 28 before returning home to host second-place Siena on Oct. 29 at Alumni Hall. Both matches are set to begin at 2 p.m.
