FAIRFIELD, Conn. - For the second-straight week, junior Lindsey Lee (Hilo, Hawaii/St. Joseph) was recognized by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for her accomplishments on the court. Lee picked up her second Defensive Player of the Week nod of the season after notching a pair of double-doubles to help Fairfield remain undefeated in the conference.

Lee averaged 4.29 kills, 5.71 digs and 0.71 blocks per game last week in Fairfield's victories against Niagara and Canisius. Against Niagara on Sept. 30, Lee tallied 12 kills and 16 digs along with three blocks. A day later, she posted 18 kills and a season-high 24 digs against Canisius for her ninth double-double of the year. Lee also recorded a career-high five assists against the Golden Griffs.

The 5'4" outside hitter leads the MAAC in kills with 4.31 per game and is third in digs with 4.51 per game. Lee's .289 hitting percentage is good for sixth in the conference. Lee was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 25 and was also named the Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 28.

Lee is currently 34 kills shy of 1,000 and will become the seventh Stag to reach the mark. She will also be just the fifth Stag to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. Lee posted her 1,000th dig two weeks ago against St. Peter's College. Former Stag Joanne Saunders holds Fairfield's career kills record of 1,799, which was set in 2001, while the career digs record stands at 1,612 and was set by Lauren Laramore last year.

Fairfield (8-6, 5-0 MAAC), winners of five straight, will travel to Siena (10-6, 6-0 MAAC) on Oct. 7 as both teams will look to remain undefeated in the conference. The Stags return home on Oct. 8 to host Loyola at 2 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
