FAIRFIELD, Conn. - For the second straight week, freshman Katie Mann (Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week. Mann helped Fairfield notch three victories to extend the Stags' winning streak to 14 matches while remaining undefeated in the conference.

Mann, who earned her third rookie of the week nod, continued her stellar hitting collecting 28 kills while committing just two errors in 45 total attempts for a .578 attack percentage. For the week, she averaged 3.11 kills along with six total blocks and had eight of the Stags'13 service aces. Mann had 10 kills and no errors against both Iona and Siena. Mann also tallied a career-high four aces and four total blocks against the Gaels.

Two weeks ago, Mann was named Rookie of the Week after averaging 4.50 kills, 1.67 digs and 1.33 blocks per game. Most importantly, she did not commit a single error in 44 total attempts and finished the week with a .614 attack percentage. Mann posted 13 kills and tied a career-high with six total blocks against Canisius and tied a career-high with 14 kills against Niagara while hitting .737 for the match.

In her last five matches, Mann has been nearly flawless, committing just two attack errors in 89 total attempts. During that span, she has posted 55 kills and a .596 attack percentage.

Fairfield (17-6, 14-0 MAAC) is in the middle of a 14-match winning streak, which is the fourth-longest in program history. During the current streak, 11 of Fairfield's wins have been by a 3-0 margin, including shutouts in each of its last eight matches. The Stags have lost just three games to conference opponents all season.

Fairfield will hosts its final two home matches of the season when Rider visits Alumni Hall on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall followed by Manhattan on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. Prior to the match against Manhattan, the Stags will honor their two seniors.
