Roy Brown is in his fourth year as
Assistant Director of Athletics/Marketing, Promotions and Fan
Development at Fairfield University. His primary
responsibilities are to market, promote, brand and enhance
community relations for the Department of Athletics.
In his position Brown develops and implements marketing and
promotion plans to increase attendance and enhance external revenue
opportunities. He is responsible for planning community
relation activities, improving fan experience and increase the
Fairfield brand to a variety of constituents.
Prior to coming to Fairfield in July 2006, Brown was the Assistant
Director of Athletics for Marketing, Promotions, and Community
Relations at Southeastern Louisiana University from 2004. He
was the Marketing Manager for the National Basketball Association
Developmental League (NBDL), from 2002-04, after working as an
associate director for marketing, public relations and advertising
at Calzone & Associates.
A native of New Orleans, La., Brown earned a B.S. in Psychology,
1999, and a B.A. in Public Relations, 2002, both from the
University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
